Ladies 3s travelled to Alsager for a friendly against Triton. The warm up included learning eachother’s names, it’s that time of year again!
We had an ok start ending the first half 2-1 down, goal from Millie Thorp. The half time team talk galvanized us into action and the team re-formed to produce some good hockey. We equalized with a goal from Jane Ashworth. Following the good start to the second half, we seemed to lose our shape, despite great efforts we conceded 3 more goals. Griff took a stick to the face and quickly developed an ostrich egg size bump. (Only 10 minutes off with an ice pack then finished the game. Warrior) Triton were a fit, slick team. We have lots to work on before we meet again in 2 weeks for the first league Game of the season.We will be ready for them! Well played all, our combination of youth and experience will produce a great squad going forwards. MoM was Noosh for her awesome adult hockey GK debut. DoD Griff for not dodging that stick.
