We beat Alderley Edge ladies 3s 4-1 in the first half of the season. This time we beat them 6-1!
It was a very good team, scoring from early on at 01:03 with a goal from Thea in open play. The game was full of amazing passes and runs throughout, we followed the first goal with a second from Famke at 29:13 in open play after only coming on a minute earlier. Famke quickly added to the score sheet with a third at 31:22 with a slap from base line. Finally Ruth scored a deflection with the entire team cheering at 34:49 in a short corner. The first half finished very well at 4:0 ahead.
Started the second half with the intention of scoring more and keeping our lead, unluckily I got my first card and we were down to 10 with Alderly pressing for a goal. However they were down another goal when SVD scored after rolling out and slapping it to the back of the goal at 56:30 in open play. After pressing and pushing for another Thea scored again at 64:00 in open play after driving down the line. Unfortunately, Alderly managed to get one goal back in a short towards the end.
Overall, a very good match with our press working excellently and the team working together well. Famke getting Motm and myself getting Dotd. An important 3 points and a great match.
