AGM outcomes & minutes

Thank you to the 23 committed members who attended the AGM on Sunday 18th May! 

The draft minutes are attached below, including presentation materials and agreements from the meeting. Please let me know ASAP if you spot any errors or omissions.

The main outcomes from the meeting are summarised below for the benefit of all members:

• The club’s Anti-Sexual Harassment Policy was formally approved. Please take a few minutes to review it.
• The club intends to become incorporated to aid future fundraising and protect trustees, committee and members from financial and legal liabilities. This will require future SGM/AGM approval(s).
• The club made a small loss in 2024/2025. The accounts for 2024/2025 were approved.
• The budget for 2025/2025 was approved. 
• Membership & match fees remain unchanged this year but may need to increase next year due to various cost increases.
• New committee members were elected - see separate news article.
• Steve Kinsella was appointed as a Vice President to recognise his long standing contribution to the club. 

We have a strong committee in place for the new season, but we still need more help. Please get in touch to offer ideas or help to any of the committee members or to support the vacant roles below. (Note that all roles can be performed by a team rather than a sole individual)

• Sponsorship Officer(s) - identifying and maintaining relationships with sponsors
• Social Secretary(ies) - we always need more people to help plan and run social events
• Phoenix Representative(s) - giving input from Hockey to Phoenix council
• DBS Officer (Ladies section) - initiating DBS checks from time to time
• Umpire Co-ordinator - arranging umpires for upcoming fixtures.
