Phoenix Special General Meeting 14th Nov

TO: all adult members of Wilmslow Hockey Club

All eligible adult members of Wilmslow Hockey Club (and Wilmslow Lacrosse Club) are hereby invited to attend and vote at a Special General Meeting of Wilmslow Phoenix Sports Club at 5:30pm Saturday 14th November. (NB The Comedy Night is the same evening, starting at 7:30pm).

The decisions in the Special General Meeting are significant to Phoenix and Hockey - please attend to contribute and support our Phoenix volunteers.

The meeting will be held in-person AND online/remotely AND with online voting to allow as many members as possible to participate.

• All votes will be recorded through the online voting system regardless of how you attend - no “show of hands”
• You must have a working email address otherwise you will not be able to vote
• You can vote online in the 2 days leading up to the meeting OR during the meeting (whether in person or remote) 

The meeting agenda will cover three important resolutions 

• Resolution 1: Ratification of Styal Running Club as a Provisional Section of Phoenix (requires 50% majority) - click here to read the resolution
• Resolution 2: Introduction of Wilmslow Sports as a Constituent Section of Phoenix (requires 75% majority) - click here to read the resolution
• Resolution 3: Amendment of Constitution to expressly allow for online technologies in future General Meetings (requires 75% majority). - click here to read the resolution

• All adult members of WHC are entitled to vote, including playing and social members.
• You must provide a working email address to vote (via an email link)
• Your email is your unique “ticket” to vote - we will use your email address in Teamo 1 week in advance of the meeting 
• Please make sure the email address you have provided in Teamo is one that you can still access
• If not, please update it in Teamo or notify Sarah Brickhill (Membership Secretary) at least 1 week before the meeting.
• You must have paid your membership fee to be eligible to vote (or agreed an arrangement with Sarah)
• If you haven’t already paid, please pay in Teamo at least 1 week before the meeting. 
• If you are facing financial difficulties which prevent you paying, please talk to Sarah as soon as possible. 
• WHC will provide Phoenix with the list of eligible members and email addresses 1 week before the meeting.

• You are free to opt out of providing your email address to Phoenix, but you will not be able to vote.
• Please contact Sarah to opt out.
