Notice of Phoenix AGM (15th Sept)

Monday 15^th September, 7:30 pm in the clubhouse

This notice is to invite you to the AGM of Wilmslow Phoenix Sports Club (Phoenix). Please come along to hear the latest news from Phoenix and support the hard-working volunteers who run the clubhouse, grounds and bar on behalf of all sports at Phoenix.

All members of Wilmslow Hockey Club and Wilmslow Lacrosse Club are automatically members of Phoenix and adult members are entitled to vote at the AGM. A quorum of 30% of all adult members is required for a properly convened Annual General Meeting. Please come along!

Members of other sports sections – Styal Running Club, Lindow Cricket, Wilmslow Sports Junior Football Club - are also welcome to attend the AGM.

The agenda for the meeting includes exciting plans for Padel courts at Oakwood Farm, plus updates on other new developments at the club.

The full agenda is attached, along with the resolutions to be presented to the AGM for agreement – including Padel, Astro sub-lease, Astro share transfer, confirmation of football membership and a new anti-sexual harassment policy.

Phoenix is entirely run by volunteers on a non-profit basis. Phoenix has a strong, collaborative team in place but needs more help. Could you help by taking on one of the positions or supporting one of the team in other ways, however small?
