New Season Club Bulletin

The wait is over – the new hockey season has arrived, and it’s time to dig out your kit! Whether you’re an existing member or you joined us this year, we’re gearing up for a fun season and hopefully lots of wins and goals! Your committee has been working hard through the summer to get ready for the new season - we’ve got lots planned, including some new coaches and some great social events! 

Our club is run by volunteers and we are always looking for more people to help out. All help makes a big difference, from volunteering as a race marshal (next 23rd Nov), joining the committee or just taking home the bibs to wash after training. Please help where you can! 

As always, myself and fellow committee members are available to hear your ideas or answer questions, so please reach out. 

Here’s to a great season in orange!

• Derby Day (30th Aug): we have 5 friendly matches lined up with Stockport Bramhall. Please mark your availability in Teamo ASAP!
• Club Open Day (6th Sept): please come along to our family-friendly fun day, including adult and junior hockey, bouncy castle, food by Potyo, bar, ice cream etc. Please share a car if possible - the car park will be super-busy! More info.
• Men’s recruitment: we're keen to recruit more players, especially for the men’s section. Please encourage your friends and family members to join. We have a new reduced membership for young adults and various concessions for others too. We’ll also help any Dads of our juniors to get started or return to the game. 
• Veo camera: our new Veo camera will record and live-stream some of our matches and allow coaches/players to analyse the game afterwards. (If you have a safeguarding concern and do not want to appear in the recordings, please set your “Photo-permissions” in Teamo to “No”.)

• Membership fees due: please make sure your membership fees are paid by 1st September, the start of the new membership year. Any issues? Please contact Sarah Brickhill, our membership secretary, who can help. More info.
• Kit order window open: need a new playing shirt? Place your order by the deadline of 20th Sept as it takes a few weeks for bespoke shirts to be made. Order here! 
• Teas from Potyo: Potyo in Wilmslow will be providing hot snacks after home games this season. We hope you’ll enjoy the food - feedback welcome.
