Our hockey camp has been developed around creating supportive, inventive and enjoyable environments which offer players the freedom to express themselves creatively and push themselves to take their game to the next level.
We've lined up a top coaching team led by Josephine Rice, an England Hockey Player Pathway Coach and supported by our very own Holly McCurrie. The team will support you in sharpening your technique, enhancing your game understanding, and growing as a player in a fun and encouraging environment.
Areas covered in the morning and afternoon sessions include:
Josephine Rice: Josie brings over 10 years of coaching experience across schools, clubs and the talent space. She currently works with England Hockey in the talent centre space for NW Talent Academy and leads the junior programme as Head Coach for Preston Hockey Club. Additionally, she is a coach developer for GB Hockey, UK Coaching, and British Cycling. Josie is pursuing a master’s in Elite Sport Performance at Dublin City University and is passionate about developing people to reach their full potential.
Holly McCurrie: Holly has been an active player for 16 years before moving to Wilmslow Hockey Club in 2022 into the Head Junior Coach role. She has been involved in hockey coaching for over 7 years across 2 clubs with additional experience in teaching PE and hockey in both primary and secondary schools. Qualified as a Level 2 Hockey Coach, Holly also coaches the East Cheshire U15 Girls Squad.
