Our hockey camp has been developed around creating supportive, inventive and enjoyable environments which offer players the freedom to express themselves creatively and push themselves to take their game to the next level.

We've lined up a top coaching team led by Joesephine Rice, an England Hockey Player Pathway Coach and supported by Alex Lukin (ex New Zealand national player) and our very own Holly McCurrie. The team will support you in sharpening your technique, enhancing your game understanding, and growing as a player in a fun and encouraging environment.

Our coaching team

Josephine Rice: Josie brings over 10 years of coaching experience across schools, clubs and the talent space. She currently works with England Hockey in the talent centre space for NW Talent Academy and leads the junior programme as Head Coach for Preston Hockey Club. Additionally, she is a coach developer for GB Hockey, UK Coaching, and British Cycling. Josie is pursuing a master’s in Elite Sport Performance at Dublin City University and is passionate about developing people to reach their full potential

Alex Lukin: now Head of Hockey at Altrincham Grammar School for Boys, Alex is a Kiwi and played 4 years for New Zealand U21's with multiple trips to Australia for matches against both Australia and Japan. She studied at Waikato University before joining at Bowdon Hightown in 2019.

Alex made her debut for the New Zealand National Women's team against Australia in 2022. She also was selected into the Commonwealth Games Team as well as the World Cup Team later that year.

Holly McCurrie: Holly has been an active player for 16 years before moving to Wilmslow Hockey Club in 2022 as Head Junior Coach role. She has been involved in Hockey coaching for over 7 years across 2 clubs with additional experience in teaching PE and Hockey in both primary and secondary schools. Qualified as a Level 2 session Hockey Coach, Holly also coaches the East Cheshire U15 Girls Squad.
