It’s finally time for what you’ve all been waiting for,
A bit late to the party, it’s the L4s first match report!
The 14th of October, sunny and breezy,
Against Crewe Vagrants 2, it wasn’t going to be easy.
A tricky start, and Crewe took the lead,
We kept trying and trying but lacked some speed.
A very skilled Crewe meant we were 3-0 down,
But we kept our spirits high, and tried not to frown.
After half time tactics, full of thoughts and talk,
We had a plan, but could we walk the walk?
With some strategic positioning and heads turned on,
We were desperate for a goal, we really deserved one.
Some lovely play up the pitch, we got the ball free,
And scored a much awaited goal, to make it 1-3!
The rest of the match remained a battle,
Lots of strong defending, we wouldn’t be rattled.
As the rain pounded down, and the final whistle blew,
We had to admit defeat to Crewe Vagrants 2.
And it must be said, that we fought til the end,
It was a lovely Saturday, spent playing hockey with friends.
