Wilmslow ladies 3s v Cheshire Blues

Grimm result for the 3s today, we were robbed. A chilly start to the morning, was that a Touch of Frost I detected? As usual (Miami) Vice Captain Moir lead the warm up, well, it was in her Line of Duty. DCI Yusuf briefed us as the Cheshire (Hill Street) Blues patrolled the pitch waiting for the word to go. Suddenly we were Oscar Foxtrot Foxtrot.

The game was intense, both teams giving an arresting performance. Wilmslow defence (Police Interceptors) came under pressure but managed to repel the Oppo right until the last moment of the first half. They went one nil up as the half time whistle was blown. To be fair, the goal was a Cracker, the volley executed with a stick used as a Lethal Weapon.

Wilmslow regrouped, having indulged ourselves with Magnum Pi’s and a few Cagney and Strawberry Laceys at half time.Obviously a few Life on Mars Bars.

Starting the second half with a different formation left Wilmslow slightly bewildered, but we settled down and fought hard to win…or equalize. It wasn’t to be, despite the Dexter(ity) of the squad, we couldn’t score that elusive goal. It went down to the Wire, the result was criminal. Wilmslow 3s 0 Cheshire Blues 1.
